Exercise in the Office

For you office executives, sitting in front of computer and typing are the two major things that you often do. The longer you sit, watching videos, or other activities that could be considered only a few moves (sedentary lifestyle) was associated with greater fat storage. Now, with the tips below, we can move much more in our office.

Tips and Tricks for you to have workout in the office:

  • Park your vehicle further, it ‘forces’ you to walk further, or for those who ride public transportation, stop at a further place and not right in front of the office.
  • Use stairs instead of elevators. Of course, if your office is on the 17th floor, go up to floor 7, then take the elevator or stairs several floors as best as you can and then take the elevator.
  • Conduct meetings in a meeting room away from your room so you’ll walk further. Or maybe do a meeting outside the building but that could be reached by walk.
  • Add your movement distances in the office. For example: take your own drinks on the higher floors (do not ask assistance from office boy), or maybe go to the toilet that is furthest from your room if possible.
  • If you want to talk with colleagues, subordinates, or your boss, go into their room, and spoke directly. Avoid using e-mail or telephone.
  • Come early to walk to the office and chat with your colleagues in one building so that you will get more familiar, and you’ll walk more.
  • Use your lunch time to walk more for at least 15 minutes and not sitting in front of the computer.
  • You can do simple stretching movements easily when you’re working in front of computer. Remember, you can use stretching to remove fatigue in your body.
  • Well, doing sports in your office is so easy, right?
