(A) Genggam buku dan berdiri tegak dengan kaki sedikit renggang dan lutut tidak dikunci. Letakkan tangan pada samping tubuh Anda dengan kepalan tangan menghadap tubuh Anda.

(B) Perlahan-lahan angkat tangan hingga lengan lururs dengan pundak seperti burung mengepakkan sayapnya. Posisi sikut sedikit ditekuk dan pastikan jempol Anda lebih tinggi dari kelingking. Tahan, dan kembalilah ke posisi semula.
